Who We Are
1613 Ministries is a preaching and teaching ministry founded by Rev. Caleb Davis in 2016 to equip Christians to stand firm in God’s Word and Church History to proclaim Christ as King in this culture of compromise.
Our Mission: Stand Firm. Christ is King.
Stand Firm – Equip believers to stand firm in the authority of Scripture and the guidance of Church History, guarding against compromise and false teaching.
Christ Is King (Chi Rho Symbol) – Call Christians to surrender fully to Jesus, living boldly and faithfully, and proclaiming His lordship in every sphere of life—from family to community, from church to culture.
Our Founder: Rev. Caleb Davis
Caleb is the pastor of Watts Chapel in Crab Orchard, KY, and holds degrees in Ministry, Biblical Counseling, and Christian Studies. Deeply committed to biblical fidelity and Church History, Rev. Caleb Davis founded 1613 Ministries in 2016 to equip Christians to stand firm and proclaim Christ as King in a culture of compromise. With a passion for expository preaching, reformed theology, and the Faith of our Fathers, Rev. Caleb leads this ministry to be a resource to Christendom.
Why “1613”?
This ministry is named after 1 Corinthians 16:13, a verse fundamental to the founder’s spiritual formation as a child, reminding us to stand firm in faith and courage. That same resolve continues to propel our ministry forward.
Our Beliefs
Each of these pillars guides who we are and how we equip Christians in a culture of compromise.
Biblical – The Word of God is our foundation and final authority. Every teaching, every conviction, and every resource flows from Scripture alone.
Classical – We hold to the timeless, essential beliefs that all faithful Christians affirm: the Trinity, salvation by faith alone, the substitutionary sacrifice of Christ, and the historic witness of the church.
Creedal – We uphold the great creeds of the historic, orthodox church as faithful summaries of biblical truth, offering guidance and clarity for the faithful.
Confessional – We subscribe to the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith, a historic articulation of the doctrines of God’s Word and the gospel of grace.
Reformed – We embrace the doctrines of grace, including God’s sovereignty, the total depravity of man, and salvation by grace alone through faith alone. This is summarized in the historic “TULIP” framework.
Covenantal – We believe God’s plan of salvation is one unified story: the covenant of grace. From Adam to Christ, God has called His people to faith in the Messiah. Salvation has always been by faith, not by law, works, or different dispensations. Covenant theology shapes how we understand God’s promises, the unfolding of Scripture, and our place in His story.
National – We believe the nation should recognize Christ as Lord and Christianity as the one true religion, based on the historic creeds, without coercing individual conscience. Society should reflect God’s moral principles, with believers called to influence culture through education, civic engagement, and Christ-centered ethics.
